Tiled Vespa Flower Pot Our neighbour had this old 1955 Vespa stocked on his outside waste spot. We asked him one day if we could have it to turn it into a vintage flower pot and he agreed. The vibe from Audry’s Hepburn and Gregory Peck’s movie ” Roman holiday ” is now very present on our outdoor terrace. The Vespa is completely covered by rests of glass tiles that were left over from our bath rooms making this an all weather resistant garden feature full of nostalgic glamour. I like the originality in this project, but can’t help but think of how cool it would be if the scooter were fully functional. Via www.makezine.com

Meanwhile, ordinary tourists are also welcome, “Flippi’s’ Spanish-laws now runs the business, but the visitors are still a breakfast that is worthy of superstar status. Feel the inspiration of a place where beautiful songs still last. DIRECTOR: Mario Mertens

“The Guardian” newspaper has made a very positive review of Hotel EnFrente Arte in their 12th of April 2008 edition. Check it out !! Hotel Enfrente Arte, Andalucía, Spain When the friendly young staff check you in to this funky little 14-room hotel, they show you how to operate the espresso machine and pull yourself a San Miguel at the bar – because drinks are included in the already-bargain price. The buffet breakfast includes pancakes cooked to order and an orchard’s worth of fruit, and the brightly painted, idiosyncratic rooms have real bohemian style. On the edge of handsome Ronda, famous for its gorges and general all-round historic loveliness, the hotel has a small pool and pretty garden overlooking the rolling mountains where you can hike. This is inland Andalucía – home of flamenco and bullfighting, with plenty of photogenic pueblos blancos (white villages) to visit. +34 952 87 90 88, enfrentearte.com. Doubles from €80 B&B.
