On the 15th of August 2009 El Ejido, a small village at the coast of Almeria, South Spain, will be ‘the place to be’ for all lovers of Dance and Dance Music. On that day, from 6 PM till 9 AM, CREAMFIELDS ANDALUCIA 2009 will take off on the amazing beach of Guardias Viejas.

Creamfields Andalucia 2009 returns to the beach of Las Guardias Viejas in El Ejido, Almeria, with its party concept united with the best contemporary Dance music. The first names of the 2009 edition were just released and together with some 20 other acts or artists of the actual dance scene, the performances of Tiësto, Rex the Dog and Trentemøller, Jeff Mills, 2Many DJs and Tiga were officially confirmed.

CREAMFIELDS ANDALUCIA
Creamfields Andalucia is an annual Dance Music festival every second week of August since 2004. In the beginning the festival was attended by some 20.000 people but in just a couple of years, this 6th edition will receive a crowd of over 40.000 outrageous dance freaks of all types.
The success of the festival is definitely the result of a puzzled out strategy trying to bring every year again the hottest and most actual dance acts. The list of big names in all 5 earlier editions is long: Chemical Brothers, Björk, Prodigy, Front 242, Basement Jaxx, Kevin Saunderson, Saint Etienne, FatBoy Slim or Massive attack, and so now Tiësto, Rex the Dog and Trentemøller were already confirmed for the 2009 edition.

The origin of the festival is to be found at the famous Cream Club in Liverpool in 1992. Since the beginning Cream – or Creamfields – has been an obligate reference in Electronic and Dance music. Thanks to the mayor success of the Cream Club the Creamfields festival has internationally grown with editions all over the world like Argentina, Peru, Spain, Romania, Poland, but also Japan.

Biography TIËSTO
Tiësto was born as Tijs Verwest on the 17th of January 1969 in Breda, Holland. Tiësto is a dance and trance DJ and worldwide respected producer. At present he is one of the best paid DJ’s and to be considered DJ nr. 1 in the world on the “DJList”, based on the votes of 2008.
The public of the festival had to wait for him a long time but finally he will perform on the Creamfields Andalucia 2009. Tiësto is the emblematic and progressive DJ who has been winning awards since the beginning of his career and ever since.
Since 1995 this Dutch DJ has been creating his own style we now know has Magik Muzik. Besides that he has got his own radio show and has been remixing, successfully on a scandalous way, Britney Spears, The Killers, Seal but also Justin Timberlake, when Timbaland asked him to do so.

DJ Tiësto, the author of euphoric melodies (like his main hit ‘Traffic’) has been mixing the most oppressive trance with all styles of techno, to create his last album “Elements of Life”, containing more voices than ever. He has been nominated for this last album and he also has been touring all around the world with it.

Biography REX THE DOG
Rex The Dog was a mitical cartoon who now has his second life in the famous producer of electronic music Jake Williams. In 2004 he released the waggish and successful album “Frequency” which was Rex the Dog’s international break through.
Thanks to that successful album Rex the Dog has been collaborating with international stars like Client, The Prodigy, Depeche Mode, Mylo, Soulwax, The Knife and much more to make a remix.

Rex the Dog also made a remix and a video of “Tony The Beat” from The Sounds which has been a mayor success on the Internet and in dance clubs all around the world.

Last year, in 2008, Rex the Dog released his first LP “The Rex The Dog Show”. The album contains 14 tracks full of eclectic sounds of vocoders and synthesizers and has been a huge success in dance clubs all around the world.

Biography TRENTEMØLLER
Anders Trentemøller was born in Copenhage, Danmark and is a DJ and producer of Electronic music. He started as DJ Tom (Tom Von Rosen) in the late nineties which made him relatively famous but it was then he decided to take a break and left the music scene for a couple of years.
Some years later Anders Trentemøller would come back with new material; a new sound, new rhythms and released the EP “Polar Shift”.

Nevertheless it will be in 2006 when he surprised the world with his first LP “The Last Resort”, surprisingly conceptual and confidential, containing influences from The Velvet Underground (band Lou Reed) but also from Basic Channel. Also, his Essential Mix was voted “Essential Mix of the Year” 2006 by the audience of BBC Radio 1.

His style can be described as intelligent techno with elastic beats and basses; all time house with smart details and eye for structure and suspense.

Biography JEFF MILLS:
Jeff Mills was born in Detroit in 1963. This musician and Electro DJ is one of the most programmed DJs at the momento who thanks to his huge amount of fans is able to fill any club or festival in the world.
At the end of the eighties Mills started his career as a radio DJ, known as The Wizard and the creator of The Final Cut. With the legacy of the ‘fathers of techno’, like Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May or Juan Atkins, Mills belonged to the next generation of the Detroit Sound.
Derrick May
Together with Mike Banks and later on also with Robert ‘The Vision’ Hood, he characterizes the new Detroit Sound which he brought, with his Underground Resistance, to clubs and festivals all over the world in the beginning of the nineties.
His projects X-101, X-102 and X-103 were published by Tresor Records under UR license.
